Silgan Closures, a global leader in sustainable packaging solutions, is hiring an Office Support Specialist at our New Castle, PA manufacturing plant. In this key administrative and customer-facing role, you will support daily office operations, assist the Office Manager and HR Manager, manage visitor and phone activity, complete customer service tasks, and help keep our plant running smoothly. What you'll do:

  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally; respond within the same business day
  • Manage visitor check-in/check-out via the visitor kiosk and ensure functionality
  • Receive and distribute deliveries; coordinate outgoing packages with vendors
  • Handle daily mail processing when needed
  • Maintain and order office and kitchen supplies through E1
  • Assistance with upkeep of reception area equipment (shredder, copier) and order copier supplies
  • Assist the local Management Team with administrative support and special projects
  • Help the Customer Service team with sales order entry, order proofing, and customer communication following SOP CFCS standards
  • Communicate with customers and collaborate with Account Managers
  • Track and report on plant on-time shipping performance to the CRM Portal
  • Process customer sample requests and special requests
  • Assist with customer shipping documents, regulatory document requests, and carrier load number entry in E1
  • Maintain customer master files and CRM Portal records
  • Ensure current C53 Forms are on file and uploaded
  • Review missing order reports and follow up with customers
  • Log CRM Portal interactions and report customer issues to help drive resolution

You'll need to have:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of administrative or customer service experience
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of JD Edwards (JDE) or similar ERP software
