Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or health challenges. In this role, you will support residents in their daily activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans
- Support residents during meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met
- Provide transportation as outlined in the ISP
- Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs
- Observe and document patient behavior, health status, and progress while adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer techniques; heavy lifting may be required
- Engage residents in social activities, community outings, and recreational programs to promote socialization and well-being
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks as needed
- Recognize signs of medical emergencies or behavioral changes and respond appropriately, including CPR or first aid if necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and team members to ensure comprehensive care
- Document and maintain accurate records
