Position Summary
The restaurant server provides customer service and food service support at the Chuck Wagon Restaurant under the direction of the Food and Beverage Supervisor with the Park Director as Manager. The employee is expected to greet customers, take orders at table and over the phone for takeout, serve food and beverages, clean tables, and assist with equipment cleaning while ensuring a clean and safe environment.
Restaurant Server Duties
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all patrons of the restaurant.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Answer phone and submit takeout orders to the kitchen.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
- Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and addressing any inquiries about the menu
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of tables and dining areas
- Handling transactions and processing payments accurately.
Qualifications and Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Previous server experience preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively interact with customers regarding questions on menu items.
- Valid Food Handler’s Card.
- Maintain a positive attitude, be a team player, and show willingness to take direction.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk and listen. The employee is frequently required to walk and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
At-Will Employment
Employment with Silent Valley Club is at-will. This means that either the employee or the Club may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or advance notice, subject to applicable law. Nothing in this job description or any other document should be interpreted as creating a contract of employment or altering the at-will nature of employment.
Pay: $16.90 per hour
