Job Description:
Sikeston Convalescent Center is seeking dependable, detail-oriented, and compassionate Certified Medication Technicians (CMTs) to join our team. CMTs are responsible for administering medications as authorized, monitoring residents, and supporting the nursing team in providing safe, quality care to our residents.
Responsibilities:
Administer medications in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and applicable regulations.
Accurately document medication administration and report discrepancies or concerns.
Observe residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the licensed nurse.
Follow proper medication storage, handling, and infection control procedures.
Assist with resident care and respond to resident needs within the scope of training and authorization.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and nursing staff.
Maintain accurate medication records and complete assigned documentation.
Protect resident dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
Follow all facility policies and state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
Current Missouri Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification or other applicable authorization to perform the assigned duties.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Dependable, professional, and compassionate.
Ability to work effectively as part of a nursing team.
