What are the responsibilities and job description for the Support Specialist position at SHR Talent?
SHR Talent is partnering with a leading healthcare organization in the greater Nashville, TN area in its search for a Support Specialist to join their team in a fully remote capacity. The Support Specialist role is a temporary 1099 contract opportunity and will have an 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday work schedule and has an anticipated duration of 6 months with possibility of extension or conversion.
An ideal candidate for the Support Specialist role will have strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally, strong organizational and project management skills, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to operate independently with sound judgment and discretion.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the retrieval, organization, and distribution of documentation in support of legal and dispute resolution processes
- Collaborate with Payment Compliance and Payer Analysis leadership to obtain and validate necessary supporting data
- Develop, implement, and refine standardized workflows and documentation frameworks to support internal and external legal counsel needs
- Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and deliverables aligned with departmental priorities
- Maintain secure and organized electronic filing systems to ensure audit-readiness and compliance with retention policies
- Contribute to strategic planning efforts to enhance departmental efficiency through improved education and process standardization
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, required
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications such as Legal Studies or Healthcare Compliance, preferred
- Minimum 3 years as legal or administrative assistant, preferred
- Prior experience supporting legal teams or working within a highly regulated environment, strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
