We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Payroll Specialist to join our client's team. This individual will serve as a key point of contact for field managers and internal teams, providing support across payroll applications, resolving issues, and identifying opportunities to improve processes. - Create and manage work orders, ensuring accurate and thorough documentation to support audit trails and reporting
- Serve as a primary point of contact for field managers, taking full ownership of inquiries and issue resolution
- Identify inefficiencies within current operational processes; document workflows and recommend improvements
- Provide support for incoming calls during high-volume periods in accordance with established service standards
- Process and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner
- Process off-cycle payroll checks and complete corrections identified through internal audits
- Support and troubleshoot payroll-related applications, including SAP, MyCPM, MySTAFF, and MyRequests
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects and provide customer service leadership when needed
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1 year of customer service experience in a call center or high-volume environment
- Experience with ticketing or case management systems preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Payroll processing knowledge preferred
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
Sherpa offers benefits to contract employees who meet the following criteria:
- Must be a full-time employee (30 weekly hours/ 130 hours per month) to be eligible

- Premiums will be pre-taxed
- Sherpa pays a portion of the Employee only premium for medical
- 90 day waiting period from date of hire
