We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our team in a hybrid work environment. This role is responsible for high-volume accounts receivable processing, accurate data entry, and supporting the overall cash flow of the organization. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, maintains a high level of accuracy, and can manage large volumes of transactional work efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of invoices, payments, and transactions with speed and accuracy
- Perform daily data entry related to billing, cash applications, and account updates
- Apply customer payments (ACH, wire, check, credit card) to appropriate accounts
- Reconcile accounts receivable balances and investigate discrepancies
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding invoices
- Communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries, payment status, and account issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records in the system
- Support month-end close processes, including AR reporting and reconciliations
- Assist in improving AR processes and identifying efficiencies within workflows
- Collaborate with internal teams (billing, sales, customer service) to resolve issues
- 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a similar accounting role
- Experience working in a high-volume, transaction-heavy environment
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas)
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Sherpa offers benefits to contract employees who meet the following criteria:
- Must be a full-time employee (30 weekly hours/ 130 hours per month) to be eligible
