Position Overview
We are seeking a Sitework & Drainage Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day operations of underground utility, sitework, drainage improvement, and cross bore projects. This role involves managing field crews, ensuring quality and safety standards, and coordinating with project managers to keep projects on schedule and on budget. The General Superintendent will provide leadership in the field, act as a point of contact for subcontractors and crews, and ensure that all work meets client expectations and regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and equipment on multiple sitework and drainage projects.
- Ensure all projects are executed safely, on schedule, and according to quality standards.
- Monitor daily operations, provide guidance to crews, and solve on-site issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to manage resources, budgets, and schedules.
- Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and safety audits.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Document project progress, incidents, and changes to ensure accurate reporting.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of construction experience, with at least 3 years in a superintendent or similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of underground utilities, sitework, drainage improvement, and cross bore projects.
- Proven ability to manage field crews, subcontractors, and large-scale projects.
- In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple job sites as needed.
Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday (occasional weekends or overtime as needed)
