EXAMPLE OF DUTIES As a Planning & Conservation Technician - Administrative Assistant, you'll work with residents, contractors, developers, local officials, and state agencies to support responsible land use, conservation initiatives, zoning administration, and environmental programs throughout the county.- Assist the public with zoning, shoreland, floodplain, subdivision, and sanitary permitting questions.
- Review and process permit applications and maintain accurate records.
- Support conservation, planning, and environmental programs through data management and mapping.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, meeting materials, and public communications.
- Assist with GIS mapping and spatial data management.
- Participate in field inspections, site reviews, and ordinance compliance activities.
- Support financial, administrative, and customer-service functions within the department.
- Collaborate with landowners, contractors, consultants, and government partners to ensure compliance with county regulations.
