EXAMPLE OF DUTIESAs part of our Building Services team, you’ll help maintain County facilities through a variety of custodial and cleaning responsibilities, including:
- Cleaning and maintaining County buildings through daily tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing
- Sanitizing restrooms, clinical areas, and high-touch surfaces
- Maintaining floors and carpets using specialized cleaning equipment
- Collecting and disposing of trash and recyclables
- Restocking cleaning supplies and organizing storage areas
- Performing periodic deep-cleaning duties including vents, stairwells, baseboards, and other detailed cleaning tasks
- Assisting with opening and closing facilities to help ensure building security
- Identifying and reporting maintenance, repair, or safety concerns
- Supporting custodial operations across multiple County buildings as needed
- This is a second shift position
- Work is performed primarily indoors within County facilities
- Position involves standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and repetitive motion throughout the shift
- Exposure to cleaning agents, dust, and occasional biohazard materials may occur, with appropriate safety procedures and PPE provided
