- Manage probate, guardianship, protective placement, and mental commitment case files.
- Schedule and clerk court hearings, including probate and commitment proceedings.
- Prepare, process, and maintain legal documents, court orders, notices, and official records.
- Assist attorneys, justice partners, and self-represented individuals with procedural information.
- Coordinate hearing logistics and ensure compliance with statutory deadlines and court requirements.
- Maintain accurate court records, financial transactions, and case management information.
- Serve as the Register in Probate during absences and help ensure continuity of court operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
- Three years of experience in a Register in Probate Office, Clerk of Circuit Courts Office, or a related court-support role preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Experience working with court records, legal documents, or judicial procedures is highly desirable.
