Key Responsibilities of the Travel RN
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department
- Rapidly assess and prioritise patients based on clinical needs
- Monitor patients and recognise changes in condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies
- Respond effectively to urgent and emergency situations
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment and follow-up care
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centred care in a fast-paced environment
Requirements of the Travel RN
- Active Louisiana RN License
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Previous Emergency Department nursing experience
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
