Key Responsibilities of the Travel RN
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia
- Closely monitor patients' vital signs, airway, pain, and level of consciousness
- Assess patients for post-operative complications and respond to changes in condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as required
- Monitor and manage pain, nausea, and other post-anesthesia symptoms
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Prepare patients for safe transfer or discharge following recovery
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
Requirements of the Travel RN
- Active North Dakota RN License
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Previous PACU or post-anesthesia nursing experience
- Strong clinical assessment and patient-care skills
