What You’ll Do
- Core Accounting: Manage all daily credits, debits, and journal entries. Ensure accurate posting for accruals and deferrals
- Reconciliations & Cash: Perform full general ledger and bank reconciliations. Oversee cash entries, receipts, and disbursements
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management reports and assist with the preparation of year-end financial statements
- Tax & Compliance: Handle Sales & Use Tax filings and Ad Valorem (property tax) assessments across multiple jurisdictions
- Commission Tracking: Calculate and verify commission structures to ensure accurate and timely payouts
- Cycle Management: Lead the Month-End and Year-End close processes, ensuring all accounts are balanced and deadlines are met
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or greater in Accounting (Required)
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build financial models or automate recurring reporting
- Expertise: Solid understanding of GAAP, accrual-based accounting, and financial reporting standards
- Precision: An eagle eye for detail—you spot a reconciliation error before it becomes a headache
- Communication: The ability to translate complex financial data into clear reports for management
