Responsibilities
- Uphold and promote Senneca’s Mission and Values while ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures
- Lead selected projects including research, justification, implementation, startup, training, and achieving target conditions
- Support manufacturing operations in meeting customer demand and production goals
- Oversee the creation, correction, and interpretation of drawings, BOMs, routings, and system transactions
- Provide direct supervision to maintenance associates and mentorship to Manufacturing Engineers
- Drive make-vs.-buy decisions to optimize cost and efficiency
- Lead or support capital projects, product line transfers, lean initiatives, and robotic welding improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Sales teams
- Promote a positive culture, safe work environment, and respectful workplace
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Production Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with 3D drawings, process improvement, and capital projects
- Strong knowledge of automation and manufacturing systems
- Proven problem-solving skills including root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles (5S, waste reduction, flow optimization)
- Proficiency in CAD/SolidWorks for 2D and 3D design
- Knowledge of ISO and AWS standards
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Proficiency with ERP systems, CAD/SolidWorks, and maintenance software
- Familiarity with manufacturing machinery, equipment, and measurement tools
- Work performed on the production floor with exposure to noise, temperature changes, and mechanical equipment
- Required use of PPE including safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
