SeniorsPlus is looking for you! We have an immediate opening for a Community Services Specialist in Androscoggin County. This is a full-time, hybrid position (40 hours/week) where you’ll make a real impact supporting older adults, adults with disabilities, and their families.
As a team member of the Community Services Department, responsibilities include:
- Providing information, advocacy, counseling, and assistance to older adults, adults with disabilities, and their families.
- Supporting clients in identifying and accessing community-based services and in planning for long-term support needs.
- Performing comprehensive client assistance services, including information sharing, needs assessment, education on long-term care options, and future planning.
- Providing counseling and referrals, ensuring clients and families are linked to needed services.
- Advocating on behalf of clients and promoting community awareness of long-term care planning.
- Serving as a collaborative liaison with community health and human service organizations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social services, human services, social work, or a related field required.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or eligibility for licensure preferred.
- 1–3 years of professional experience in case management, social work, nursing, gerontology, health services, or related human services field preferred.
- Valid Maine State driver’s license.
- Must receive favorable results from driver's license, reference, and criminal conviction background checks for any offer of employment.

Schedule & Pay:
8-hour shifts -Monday to Friday
$23.45 - $26.41/per hour - based on qualifications and experience
