Foreman
We’re hiring an experienced Foreman to lead utility construction crews in the field.
This role is responsible for supervising daily work, keeping crews organized, making sure jobs stay on schedule, and ensuring work is completed safely and correctly. The Underground Foreman will oversee laborers and equipment operators while supporting underground utility installation, fiber work, excavation, boring, trenching, and related construction activities.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise underground utility crews
- Coordinate daily work assignments and keep production moving
- Read and interpret prints, project plans, utility maps, and work orders
- Oversee underground fiber installation, conduit placement, boring, trenching, and excavation work
- Operate or work around equipment such as excavators, plows, trenchers, boring machines, and backhoes
- Conduct daily safety talks and make sure crews follow OSHA, DOT, and company safety procedures
- Identify jobsite hazards and help prevent damages or safety issues
- Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
- Track daily progress through photos, reports, and field logs
- Communicate with supervisors, inspectors, subcontractors, utility reps, and property owners as needed
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of utility construction experience
- 1 year in a foreman, lead, or supervisory role
- Strong underground construction knowledge
- Ability to read prints, maps, and as-builts
- Experience with fiber optic construction preferred
- CDL preferred
- OSHA 10/30 preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to solve problems in the field and keep the crew moving
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Work Environment
This is an outdoor field position. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions, around heavy equipment, open trenches, traffic, mud, dust, and active construction sites. Overtime or weekend work may be required depending on project needs.

Must be able to perform physical labor for long periods, lift up to 80 lbs, walk on uneven terrain, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, use hand and power tools, and work safely around equipment and utilities.
