Position Title: Dump Truck Driver

Key Responsibilities
Dump Truck Operations
- Safely operate dump trucks to haul materials to and from job sites
- Transport dirt, rock, gravel, asphalt, equipment, debris, and other materials as needed
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
- Follow assigned routes, schedules, and dispatch instructions
- Communicate with supervisors, dispatch, crews, and customers as needed
- Deliver materials on time while maintaining safe operating practices
- Maneuver trucks safely on jobsites, yards, roads, and tight work areas
- Assist with basic jobsite support as needed when not driving
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, company policies, and safety standards
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily
- Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, damage, or safety concerns promptly
- Maintain accurate logs, tickets, inspection forms, and required documentation
- Secure loads properly and follow safe hauling procedures
- Follow jobsite safety rules, PPE requirements, and directions from supervisors
- Operate safely around equipment, crews, pedestrians, traffic, and active construction areas
Truck & Equipment Care
- Keep truck clean, organized, and in good operating condition
- Monitor truck condition throughout the day and report any concerns
- Check fuel, fluids, tires, lights, brakes, and other basic truck components
- Coordinate with supervisors or mechanics for maintenance and repairs
- Help minimize downtime through proper equipment care and communication
Team Support
- Work professionally with supervisors, dispatch, mechanics, crews, customers, and vendors
- Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Be flexible with daily assignments based on workload and project needs
- Support safe, efficient, and productive field operations
- Represent the company professionally while on the road, at jobsites, and with customers
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Previous dump truck, hauling, trucking, or construction driving experience preferred
- Must have a clean and safe driving mindset
- Ability to follow DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Ability to complete inspections, logs, tickets, and required paperwork accurately
- Comfortable driving in construction zones, yards, jobsites, and varying road conditions
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow dispatch instructions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Ability to pass required pre-employment screening
Schedule & Work Environment
- Typical schedule may include up to 10-hour workdays
- Work may include local hauling, jobsite deliveries, yard work, and construction support
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Work around heavy equipment, construction crews, traffic, dirt, rock, and active jobsites
