Job Description – Production TechnicianLocation: 103 Demi Road, Mount Bethel, PA 18343Start Date: ASAPAssignment Length: 6 Months (Temp-to-Hire)Schedule: 4 days on / 4 days offtraining time :- Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PMNight Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AMHours: 40 per weePosition OverviewThe Production Technician supports chemical manufacturing operations related to ammonium chloride, helium, and nitrogen systems. This role is essential to ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable production of materials used in advanced electronics applications, such as microprocessors and semiconductor components. The Technician will work in a team environment and must be able to operate and troubleshoot chemical processes while maintaining a “Safety First” mindset.This position requires working rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate production and chemical processes safely and efficiently to meet daily production and quality targets.Perform equipment assembly, disassembly, and basic mechanical maintenance.Monitor, troubleshoot, and adjust chemical processes to ensure optimal operation.Prioritize daily work assignments in coordination with Production Leads and Supervisors.Participate in monthly safety meetings and promote a strong, proactive safety culture.Review, update, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training documents.Complete all assigned training and maintain required certifications.Cross-train peers in approved operational functions.Serve as issuer for safe work permits in assigned areas.Demonstrate commitment to “Do It Safe, Do It Right the First Time” in all tasks.Participate as part of the site’s Emergency Response (ER) team when required.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED.Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts (days, nights, weekends, and holidays).Must remain clean-shaven to meet respirator safety requirements.Ability to wear full-face respirator, SCBA, SAR, and Level A encapsulated suits.Must pass medical and fit-for-duty assessments.Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and move cylinders weighing up to 200 lbs.Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced production environment.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Effective communication skills – both verbal and written.Team-oriented, self-motivated, and dependable.Must display a positive and safety-first attitude.Preferred QualificationsAssociate degree in Applied Science, Processing Technology, or related technical field.2 years experience in chemical, hazardous, industrial, or process operations.Experience with mechanical or electrical systems.Background in nuclear, electronics, mechanical, or industrial training.Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and root cause analysis.Understanding of analytical processes in chemical production.SAP experience and general computer literacy.Fork truck operation experience (retraining will be provided).Working Conditions & RequirementsPPE required: steel-toe footwear (others provided).Work conducted in warehouse, cleanroom, and production settings.Occasional work at heights (up to 15 ft).Will operate fork trucks as part of daily responsibilities.Company DescriptionSelect Source International (SSI) is a distinguished staffing company with nearly 25 years of experience, renowned for delivering top-tier workforce solutions encompassing staffing, recruiting, and managed services.
