Job Description -
Overview -
The role focuses on performing analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and plant utilities to support manufacturing operations. The position ensures product quality, supports batch release, and maintains compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
Responsibilities -
- Perform analytical testing including titrations, GC analysis, vitamin, protein, mineral, fat, lactose, and fatty acid profiling
- Conduct in-process and finished product testing, including physical tests (pH, viscosity, sensory evaluation)
- Execute batch calculations, adjustments, and generate supporting documentation
- Perform standardizations, system suitability checks, and routine maintenance activities
- Support validation protocols, investigations, and retesting processes
- Troubleshoot and maintain analytical instruments and test methods
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain laboratory inventory and documentation
- Train new staff on laboratory procedures, safety, and methods
- Conduct water, gas, CIP, and control sample testing
Qualifications & Requirements -
- Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques and laboratory practices
- Experience with documentation, batch processing, and quality compliance
- Ability to manage multiple tests and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of safety protocols and regulatory standards
Must-Have -
- Bachelor’s degree in Science (preferably Chemistry)
- Hands-on experience with analytical testing techniques (titration, GC, etc.)
- Knowledge of laboratory documentation and quality systems
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Preferred / Nice-to-Have -
- Experience in food, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing industry
- Familiarity with validation protocols and CIP systems
- Experience in training or mentoring team members
Knowledge of instrument troubleshooting and maintenance
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
