- Run CNC equipment producing close-tolerance parts; maintain repeatable results across production runs.
- Interpret drawings, tolerances, and job documentation to ensure correct processing.
- Perform in-process inspection, analyze measurement results, and make appropriate adjustments (e.g., offsets or wear compensation per process) to maintain compliance.
- Troubleshoot machining issues (tooling, offsets, process stability, surface finish, dimensional drift) and coordinate corrective action with leads, engineering, and quality.
- Perform setups, changeovers, and first-piece approvals as required (e.g., workholding support, tooling swaps, verifying documentation, inspection support).
- Complete required documentation, inspection records, and traceability requirements for each job.
- Operate shop equipment safely and efficiently.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5 years CNC machining experience required; advanced candidates commonly have 7-10 years.
- Technical degree may be a substitute for some experience.
- Demonstrated ability to hold tight tolerances and maintain stable processes.
- Strong blueprint interpretation skills; GD&T comprehension as applicable to work.
- Strong inspection discipline and ability to work independently at an advanced level.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds (some positions).
- Experience supporting complex work on multi-axis platforms and/or precision-turning environments.
- Familiarity with common CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Okuma).
- Experience supporting first-piece verification and quality documentation rigor.
- Experience identifying and communicating process improvements to reduce variation and scrap.
