We are working with a client in Tampa that is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join a dynamic, high-growth organization. This is a hybrid opportunity and would require you to work 2 days onsite in Tampa, FL.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and has successfully built and scaled AP processes beyond transactional execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full-cycle Accounts Payable function across a multi-entity environment
- Oversee daily AP operations including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payment runs (ACH, wire, check)
- Manage month-end close activities related to AP, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all AP processes and controls
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Review AP aging, support cash flow planning, and provide reporting insights
- Manage, mentor, and develop both onshore and offshore team members
- Build, streamline, and enforce scalable processes and internal controls
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and efficiencies
- Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, and Operations
- Take full ownership of the AP function, driving accountability and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an AP Manager (or similar leadership role) in a high-growth and/or multi-entity environment
- Demonstrated success improving or scaling AP functions beyond basic processing
- Experience managing and developing teams, including offshore resources
- Strong understanding of AP processes, controls, and month-end close
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven mindset
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across all levels
Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
