Segrera Associates is recruiting an Accounts Payable Manager on behalf of a well-established and rapidly growing automotive dealership group headquartered in the Tampa, FL area. This role is fully on-site in the Tampa, FL area. Candidates must be local to the region or willing to relocate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 7–10 Accounts Payable professionals, with expected team growth over time.
- Oversee end-to-end AP operations across a multi-location environment, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Drive the transition toward a more centralized and standardized AP/shared services model.
- Manage invoice processing workflows, vendor payments (ACH, checks, virtual cards), and approval processes.
- Ensure proper coding, approvals, and adherence to internal controls and company policies.
- Monitor AP aging reports, vendor statements, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and audit requirements.
- Strengthen vendor management processes, including compliance documentation and dispute resolution.
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and KPI reporting.
- Maintain strong internal controls and support fraud prevention and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5 years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, including leadership/management responsibility.
- Experience overseeing high-volume AP environments (multi-location or shared services strongly preferred).
- Prior exposure to process improvement, standardization, or AP transformation initiatives highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of AP workflows, internal controls, and month-end close support.
- Experience with AP systems and ERP platforms (Reynolds experience strongly preferred; Concur a plus).
- Proven leadership skills with ability to develop, coach, and scale teams.
- Strong analytical skills with a process-driven and detail-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
