What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Segrera Associates?
We are currently seeking Staff to Senior Accountants to join two well-known companies in the Fort Lauderdale area.
These roles are ideal for an accounting professional with strong fundamentals and hands-on experience in month-end close and financial reporting within a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Maintain general ledger and support audit requests
• Assist with internal controls and process improvements
• Partner cross-functionally to support business operations
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience (public or industry)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with Business Central or Sage preferred
• Exposure to lease accounting (ASC 842) is a plus
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
Exposure to multiple industries including automotive and banking is highly valued.
