The Opportunity
We are seeking an Annual Giving and Parent Engagement Manager to join the SAAS Development team and help bring our mission to life by leading the execution of the Annual Fund, supporting SAAS in the City—the School’s annual community-wide fundraising event—and serving as the primary liaison for parent engagement, including the Family Association and parent leadership and engagement activities.
This role is responsible for driving a comprehensive and strategic approach to achieving the ambitious philanthropic goals of both the Annual Fund and SAAS in the City. In addition to leading the execution of the Annual Fund and supporting the planning and implementation of SAAS in the City, this individual will serve as the parent engagement lead—partnering closely with the Family Association, Annual Fund volunteers, and SAAS in the City volunteers to grow and strengthen our culture of volunteerism across the SAAS community.
The Annual Giving Manager will be an essential member of a seven-person Development team, reporting to the Associate Director of Development and collaborating closely with the Events, Marketing and Communications teams. This is a full-time, in-person position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of the Annual Fund and support the planning and implementation of the signature SAAS in the City community event
- Lead the writing and execution of Annual Fund and SAAS in the City communications, including appeals, emails, and solicitation materials, leveraging partnership with the Marketing and Communications team to support strategy and content development
- Implement strategies for the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of donors, including managing and soliciting a small portfolio of donors
- Recruit, lead, and support volunteers engaged in Annual Fund and SAAS in the City activities, with an emphasis on building and sustaining a strong volunteer program, while serving as the primary liaison to the Family Association
- Support fundraising initiatives and other development priorities as assigned by the Associate Director of Development

- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Highly motivated and a self-starter
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt to evolving needs, and consistently follow up on details
- Able to function independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues, volunteers, and community members
- Be a team player; cheerfully participate in and/or assist with other duties and routines regularly part of a school environment.
REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2 years of fundraising experience
- Experience recruiting, leading, and managing volunteers
- Comfort with community engagement and relationship-building
- Experience with donor database systems
PREFERRED
- Experience in an education, nonprofit, or mission-driven environment
- A genuine interest in working in a school community
- Experience building relationships and collaborating with others
- Comfortable and energized by a fast-paced work environment
How to Apply:
The position is salaried (exempt) with a salary range of $85,000 to $95,000, depending on relative experience. Successful candidates must be able to pass a fingerprint background check as a contingency of employment. SAAS offers an excellent benefit package.
