Position Overview
The Social Media & Content Manager splits their time between two things: building the CEO’s personal brand and executing content for SSG as a whole. About half the role is supporting the CEO directly — sitting down with him to capture his ideas, insights, and perspective, then turning that into content that grows his presence and gets him in front of the right people. The other half is creating content that represents SSG across platforms, from company social to video production to capturing moments at events.
Day to day, this person works closely with the Director of Marketing and needs to be comfortable doing it all — writing, filming, editing, and shooting — and knows how to make content that actually performs.
Key Responsibilities
CEO & Executive Social Media
● Own and execute the CEO’s LinkedIn presence and overall social media strategy.
● Develop creative, targeted outreach strategies to help the CEO connect with hiring leaders, prospects, and key audiences.
● Write high-quality social posts that reflect the CEO’s voice, insight, and point of view.
● Turn conversations, ideas, and market insights into consistent, high-impact content.
● Capture, edit, and publish short-form and long-form video content featuring the CEO and executive team.
● Manage posting cadence, content calendars, and performance optimization.
● Own and execute the broader Executive Division’s social and video content strategy.
Company-Wide Content & Social
● Build and scale SSG’s company social content across platforms.
● Create video and written success stories highlighting client partnerships and outcomes.
● Elevate employee wins, milestones, and subject-matter expertise through company and executive channels.
● Support employee social optimization and strategy.
● Support brand storytelling across all company platforms.
● Write and manage blog content for SSG’s website that drives inbound interest and supports the company’s thought leadership positioning.
● Apply basic SEO best practices
Events & Photography
● Serve as SSG’s in-house photographer and content capture lead at internal and external events. ● Attend SSG-hosted and SSG-attended events — including after-hours events — to capture high-quality photo and video content.
● Travel to client sites as needed to capture partnership stories, interviews, and on-site content.
● Turn event content into social posts, reels, recaps, and other assets across SSG’s channels.
Content Creation & Repurposing
● Repurpose video and photo content into written posts, clips, and supporting assets.
● Adapt content for multiple platforms while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
● Identify opportunities to extend reach and engagement through smart content reuse.
Visibility & Brand Support
● Support PR, speaking engagements, and executive visibility initiatives as needed.
● Collaborate with leadership and internal teams to align content with business priorities.
