Search Solution Group is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Operations Manager on behalf of our client, a growing manufacturing organization. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations, driving production performance, and ensuring operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, and productivity metrics. The Senior Manufacturing Operations Manager will play a critical role in developing teams, improving processes, and fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Manage production scheduling, workforce planning, workflow coordination, and resource allocation.
- Develop, coach, and mentor supervisors and production team members.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, waste reduction, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to resolve production challenges and improve overall performance.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, employee development, and performance management efforts.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, operating procedures, and quality requirements.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-driven work environment.
- Utilize operational metrics and data analysis to make informed business decisions and improve manufacturing outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing, production, or operations leadership experience.
- At least 3 years of experience leading teams within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing production schedules, labor planning, quality oversight, and operational execution.
- Experience implementing continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Experience in custom manufacturing, soft goods, furniture, textiles, upholstery, or similar industries is a plus.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Advanced problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Project management and process improvement expertise.
