Seaport Steel and Oregon Metal Services are seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to grow existing accounts and develop new business throughout Western Washington. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional with structural steel sales experience who enjoys building relationships, solving customer challenges, and driving growth.
What You'll Do
- Grow existing accounts and develop new business opportunities
- Build strong customer relationships through in-person visits, video meetings, and phone calls
- Promote value-added services, inventory programs, and cost-saving solutions
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers
- Partner with warehouse, logistics, and inside sales teams to ensure exceptional service
- Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally
- Travel throughout the territory to strengthen customer relationships and identify opportunities
- Track customer activity and opportunities in Microsoft Teams
- Share market insights and sales updates with leadership

Qualifications
Required
- 1-3 years of structural steel sales experience
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory
Preferred
- Experience with a steel service center, metals distributor, fabricator, or construction supplier
- Knowledge of structural steel products and applications

- Experience coordinating with operations, purchasing, and logistics teams to support customer needs
