Summary: Operates forklift to lift, move, and position loads of steel within the production facility; other duties may be assigned.
Salary: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
Most employees start between $21 and $22.50. The higher end of the range, $24, is reserved for candidates with exceptional experience or qualifications.
Shift: Mon-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Trained and certified by Seaport Steel to operate a forklift to load Material and determine the safety of a load.

Regulate the speed and direction of the forklift movement to ensure the safe movement of material.

Uses chains banding or strapping as required for safe movement or loading material.

Maintains clean workspace and reports any necessary maintenance of equipment.
-
Required to inspect forklift for defective parts and notifies the supervisor of defects or malfunctions.

Education/Experience
