This is a highly visible role Senior Accountant role reporting directly to the Controller. This role plays a critical part in managing the company’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong accounting foundation, and is eager to contribute to a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and completeness of all financial records for multiple properties
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L and balance sheet).
- Perform entity consolidations, intercompany reconciliations, and balance sheet account reviews.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Review balance sheet accounts, investigate variances, and provide actionable insights.
- Partner with the Controller and CFO on financial analysis, reporting, and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3 years of accounting experience - real estate / property Accounting a plus
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards..
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
