We are currently seeking a Mailroom Clerk.
Position Summary
The Mailroom Clerk is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the mailroom through the timely and accurate handling of incoming and outgoing mail, document scanning, and related operational tasks. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail accurately and efficiently
- Collect outgoing office mail and prepare materials for shipment or delivery
- Scan high volumes of documents in accordance with departmental procedures
- Assist with organizing, routing, and processing mail and related documents
- Ensure physical mail and scanned documents are handled accurately and timely
- Perform daily trips to the post office and/or bank as needed
- Operate mailroom and scanning equipment in support of daily workflow
- Accurately process documents and information into the Firm’s systems as required
- Maintain an organized and efficient work area to support daily mailroom operations
- Assist with other mailroom, document handling, and operational support tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in scanning, mailroom operations, document processing, or mail processing in a professional environment required
- Experience operating an Opex Mail Opening Machine required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Ability to quickly learn and effectively use the Firm’s case management software and internal systems
- Ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with standard office equipment
- Ability to lift and move 50 pounds as needed
- Ability to maintain professionalism and work effectively with team members and internal departments
Salary : $15 - $17
