We are currently seeking a Process of Service Clerk to join our Process of Service team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in the civil litigation process by coordinating the delivery of legal documents
- Enter status updates and service of process confirmation into the Firm’s case management software
- Follow up with internal staff and external vendors to ensure completion of process
- Process daily data imports from external vendors
- Review and audit invoices related to service of process
- Ensure policies and procedures are consistently executed consistent with Firm and Client standards
- Respond to all client and audit requests related to service of process
- Confer with Firm Managers and Executive staff on carrying out Firm objectives, overcoming challenges, completing projects and cultivating the Firm’s reputation
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Ability to work efficiently with excellent attention to detail in a high-volume fast paced environment
- Minimum one year of relevant work experience in the legal field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Knowledge of legal terminology preferred
- Effective oral and written communication skills with knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation usage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point; ability to operate basic office equipment such as a copy machine, fax machine, printer, scanner, and computer; proficient with internet research
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Ability to be flexible to adapt and act quickly when urgent matters require it
- Ability to work and maintain patience with diversified individuals of various ethnic backgrounds and professional competencies
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
8am to 5pm
Full Time Position
No hybrid or remote flexibility
Salary : $17 - $19
