Network Administrator

Location

This position is considered office-first. An office-first employee can flex between in-office work and working from home based on personal or professional need, at the discretion of their supervisor. An office-first employee maintains an office presence at least three days per week at their designated Scooter’s Coffee office location. Scooter’s Coffee is headquartered in Omaha, NE. The successful candidate lives in Omaha, NE. Relocation is not available for this role.

Description

The Network Administrator is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure across franchise and corporate-owned stores, corporate offices, distribution centers, and remote locations. This role focuses on daily network operations, troubleshooting, and technical support to ensure consistent connectivity and optimal performance across the enterprise. The Network Administrator collaborates closely with senior IT team members to resolve issues, implement system changes, and support ongoing network initiatives

Essential Duties and Responsibilitie

• s Support the maintenance and day-to-day operation of network infrastructure, including switches, access points, cabling, and firewall configuration
• s.Monitor network performance and connectivity across franchise and corporate owned stores, corporate offices, distribution centers, and remote locations, identifying and escalating issues as neede
• d.Troubleshoot network-related incidents affecting end users, including connectivity, VPN access, and hardware issue
• s.Assist with network installations, upgrades, and chang
• esSupport network documentation, including diagrams, configuration records, and standard operating procedure
• s.Respond to user requests for network-related technical assistance via the Zendesk ticketing syste
• m.Ensure adherence to PCI DSS( Payment Card Industry Date Security Standard) requirements across all network system and locations, including franchise and corporate owned stores, by monitoring compliance, supporting audits, implementing security controls, and partnering with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and maintain secure payment environment
• s.Coordinate with vendors and service providers for circuit issues, hardware replacements, and connectivity troubleshootin
• g.Apply network security best practices by enforcing approved configurations and adhering to established standard
• s.Identify issues requiring urgent attention and escalate appropriatel
• y.Provide after-hours or on-call support as needed for network incident
• s.Travel to Franchise and Corporate owned stores, local offices and distribution centers to support network needs, installations, or troubleshooting as require

Qualificatio

• ns Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination or education and progressive hands-on experie
• nce5-7 years of experience supporting and administering enterprise level and/or multi-location network environme
• ntsStrong, hands-on expertise with core networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, routing, switching, and wireless technologies, with the ability to design and optimize network performan
• ce.Demonstrated experience with network monitoring, alerting, and ticketing systems, with the ability to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network issu
• es.Hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, or similar networking equipment, prefer
• redStrong knowledge and applied experience with IT security best practices, including network hardening, access controls, vulnerability mitigation, and compliance standar
• ds.Hands-on experience working with firewall rules, VLANs, and network segmentati
