This is a direct-hire opportunity supporting a lean, high-performing Investment team. The role is hybrid, with regular onsite expectations in the client’s NYC office.
Position Overview
This Senior Associate–level Underwriter serves as a core execution partner within the Investment team, supporting underwriting, diligence, and risk assessment across active and prospective investments. The role works closely with senior investment leadership to deliver institutional-quality financial modeling, valuation analysis, and investment committee materials. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability investment environments and wants meaningful exposure to decision-making.

- Support investment diligence through detailed review of financial statements, data room materials, and risk factors
- Prepare and refine investment committee materials, including underwriting memos and supporting analyses
- Manage multiple underwriting workstreams simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
- Partner with senior investment professionals on transaction execution and post-investment tracking
- Proactively identify risks, inconsistencies, and key sensitivities within financial and diligence materials
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and investment underwriting expertise
- Background in private equity, venture capital, private credit, investment banking, or similar analytical roles
- Proven experience evaluating financial statements, diligence materials, and investment risk
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with institutional modeling frameworks
- Clear written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail
- Base salary range: $130,000–$180,000, depending on experience
