Responsibilities
*This position is open to multiple U.S. locations. Preferably near a U.S. HW Kaufman office location.*
We are looking for candidates with an entrepreneurial spirit, drive for career advancement and desire to develop relationships. The candidate will play a critical role in driving the growth and profitability of our ocean marine liability business. Interested? Join our team!
- Maintain and grow a book of ocean marine liability business including Hull/P&I, Primary Marine Liability, and Excess Marine Liability as part of the RB Jones Marine team
- Manage and develop broker relationships
- Produce new business as well as maintain a book of renewal business
- Prequalify accounts and utilize underwriting acumen to select sound marine risks
- Underwrite, rate, quote and bind, profitable new and renewal marine business to meet goals in agreement with underwriting guidelines and underwriting authority
- Regular national travel as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3 years of marine underwriting experience required
- Wholesale, MGA or carrier experience preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing
- Proven organization skills and ability with a strong attention to detail
- Interest in continued education and professional development
- Insurance license, CPCU, CIC, AMIM or comparable designations preferred
Compensation Package
- Base salary range of $90,000.00 to $130,000.00 dependent upon experience
