Fund Accounting & Operations Associate

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Fund Accounting & Operations Associate for a leading global investment management firm. This role is hybrid-based in Stamford, CT.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This is an exciting contract opportunity supporting a high-performing Product Services and Fund Administration team within a global investment management environment. The role focuses on fund operations and financial reporting with a strong emphasis on mutual fund, ETF, and alternative investment products. The contractor will play a key role in NAV support, reconciliations, and reporting deliverables while partnering closely with a collaborative, tenured team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented, analytical environment and is looking to grow their experience in fund accounting and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support daily fund operations, including NAV calculations, reconciliations, and reporting workflows
• Assist with financial reporting for mutual funds, ETFs, and alternative investment products
• Perform data analysis and reporting using advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
• Partner with internal fund administration teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliverables
• Help maintain and improve operational processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and automation
• Support ad hoc reporting requests and cross-functional team initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in financial reporting, ideally within mutual funds, ETFs, or alternative investment products
• Background in fund operations or fund accounting with exposure to NAV processes and reconciliations
• Strong Excel skills, including data analysis, pivot tables, and lookup functions (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP required)
• Familiarity with investment products such as private equity, private credit, credit funds, or mutual funds is preferred
• Strong communication skills with a proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative approach

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This contract role offers a competitive hourly rate of $30–$35/hr. This opportunity also includes the potential for extension or conversion based on performance and business needs.
