Our client is an alternative asset management firm investing in the private equity, credit, and real estate space, with distressed funds expertise.
Responsibilities
- Review financial statements, partner allocations, capital account statements, and performance reporting
- Prepare waterfall calculations and distributions
- Review journal entries, cash movements, and monthly/quarterly closing work papers prepared by junior accountants
- Review valuation memos
- Work with internal and external tax counsel on investor tax reporting and investment structuring
- Report and record all monthly and quarterly AGM reporting
- Work with Controller on deal closings, restructurings, and financing
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 3-5 years of public and private accounting experience
- Strong U.S. GAAP and technical accounting expertise
- Closed-end investment company experience required
- Experience with Investran is a plus
- Strong Excel skills required
