Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close and financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and U.S. STAT
- Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Assist in the preparation of U.S. STAT statements and audited financial statements
- Prepare variance analysis of balance sheet and income statement with detailed explanations
- Prepare various accounting workpapers, schedules, exhibits, and summaries as assigned
- Assist with account reconciliations, accruals, analyses, and GL entries
- Complete the settlement and monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts and reporting
- Ensure compliance with SOX and prepare internal & external audit requests
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 4-6 years of related experience within the insurance industry
- Experience with U.S. STAT reporting
- Experience with Oracle ERP software
- CPA preferred
