Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Docketing Manager for a well-established, full-service law firm client. This is a hybrid position based in Hackensack, NJ, with a three-days-in-office, two-days-remote schedule.
Position Overview
This role is responsible for leading and optimizing the firmwide litigation docketing and calendaring function to ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines. The Docketing Manager will partner closely with attorneys and staff to maintain accuracy and mitigate risk across all litigation matters. - Administer and optimize the docketing system (CourtAlert preferred), including configuration, templates, and updates
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure accurate tracking and communication of critical dates
- Develop and maintain docketing procedures, best practices, and training materials
- Audit docket entries for accuracy and monitor court rule changes to update processes accordingly
- Supervise and support docketing staff, including training, performance management, and workflow oversight
- 5 years experience in litigation docketing within a law firm environment
- ???????Proficiency with docketing systems (CourtAlert preferred) and related technologies
- ???????In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local court rules and procedures
- ???????Excellent organizational, communication, and attention to detail skills
- ???????Ability to lead, train, and collaborate effectively with attorneys and staff
- ???????2-year college degree or legal certification preferred
