Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Accounting & HR Operations Specialist for a respected, community-oriented organization focused on delivering an innovative and personalized learning experience. This is an onsite opportunity based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Accounting & HR Operations Specialist plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial, human resources, and administrative operations of the school. This position is highly collaborative and requires a detail-oriented professional who can balance priorities across accounting, payroll support, and HR coordination. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice processing, weekly check runs, and vendor coordination using QuickBooks
- Support HR operations, including onboarding, benefits administration, employee records, and compliance tracking
- Assist with payroll processes, including time adjustments, PTO tracking, and coordination through ADP
- Provide backup support for accounts receivable, including payment processing and deposit preparation
- Maintain accurate financial data, support month-end close, and assist with audit preparation and reporting
- Coordinate purchasing activities, track orders, and support administrative and operational needs across departments
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated experience in accounts payable, payroll processing, and billing or receivables support
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working within financial systems such as QuickBooks and ADP
- Experience working with databases or CMS platforms to manage financial or employee data
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and communicate effectively across teams
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This position offers a salary range of $65,000–$70,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven educational community.
