POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides administrative support services to the Marketing and Education departments. This position works under direct supervision, with work regularly checked. Detailed rules, procedures, and guidelines govern work.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides administrative assistance and support to the Marketing and Education departments by arranging appointments, travel, meetings, and conference calls.
- Prepares departmental correspondence, procedures, and other internal documents.
- Proofread Marketing brochures, ads, etc.
- Assists the PR & Events Coordinator when off site.
- Interacts with clients, members of management, and staff members regarding department processes as directed by the Sales & Marketing Management.
- Performs basic clerical duties such as answering the telephone, filing, taking meeting minutes, word processing and following up on assigned tasks.
- Monitors missing timesheets, orders office supplies, and generates purchase orders for the Marketing and Education departments.
- Maintains vacation/time-off schedules and time clock reports.
- Maintains monthly marketing inventory including collateral and brochures
- Provides backup support for other Departments as needed.
- Complies with all approved procedures, directives, and guidelines.
- SNUG Conference help desk, registration at off-site location for Users Group Conference.
- Assist in Marketing Initiatives to include Digital Marketing, International expansion, and introduction of new products.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education Required:
An Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field is required. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
Experience Required:
Previous experience within Marketing is highly desirable. Prior administrative experience in a business environment is required.
Skills Required:
- Excellent communication, presentation, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and effectively under stress as well as the ability to define priorities, multi-task, and complete work assignments in a timely manner.
- Above-average knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
- Strong typing skills (at least 60 WPM) is required.
- Background in social media, SEO, & Digital Marketing platforms.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
