Job Title: Junior Accountant

The Junior Accountant will assist in recording and maintaining financial transactions, updating the general ledger, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards by performing tasks such as bank statement reconciliation, assisting accounts payable and receivable, and assisting in generating various financial reports

• Accounts Receivable – Assist with collections on Deposits and Prepayments for Wholesale clients and providing statements and breakdown of payment requested. Will work closely with wholesale sales team and operations team in ensuring accurate of invoicing on only ready to ship goods.
• Accounts Payable – Assist with processing vendor bills and ensure accuracy in coding and department classifications.
• Provide daily tracking of deposits received for which client and what seasons. Assist with processing payments received into ERP system and assisting with the AR portion of bank reconciliations.
• Assist with clients facing inquiries in providing client account summary and assisting with resolving disputes and discrepancies.
• Assist in Sales Tax confirmations to ensure all states with nexus are properly filed.
  
  

Requirements

• 1 – 3 years of Accounting experience, preferably in fashion retail/wholesale
• Experience with ERP/Accounting software, QuickBooks and NetSuite is a plus
• Strong proficiency in Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and comfort in Google Suite required
• Knowledge of General Ledger systems
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Detail Oriented with excellent record keeping abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
  
  

Salary $55,000-$65,000
