Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end buying strategy for the Dresses category, the largest and most important business.
- Build seasonal assortments that balance trend, customer demand, profitability, and brand positioning.
- Analyze sales performance, customer insights, and market trends to inform buying decisions.
- Partner closely with vendors to develop exclusive styles and optimize category performance.
- Guide dress architecture across assortments, ensuring the right mix of silhouettes, lengths, fabrications, prints, occasions, and price points.
- Drive product development conversations around construction, fit, fabrication, and design details.
- Identify emerging trends and translate them into commercially viable product opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, planning, design, marketing, and leadership teams.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate product opportunities that support category growth.
- Significant buying experience within women's apparel, with a strong emphasis on dresses.
- Deep understanding of garment construction, fabrications, prints, fit, and silhouette development.
- Proven ability to build and grow a high-volume apparel category.
- Strong product instincts combined with analytical decision-making skills.
- Experience working directly with vendors on product development and category planning.
- Ability to influence product creation rather than simply selecting from existing assortments.
- Strong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of customer preferences and market trends.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.
Salary : $90,000 - $150,000
