Key Responsibilities
Design & Product Development
- Design and develop seasonal collections across multiple accessory categories, including hats, gloves, scarves, and seasonal items
- Create trend-driven, commercially viable designs tailored to private label accounts and target customers
- Interpret retailer briefs and translate them into cohesive product assortments
- Research and analyze fashion trends, color direction, materials, and competitive landscape
- Adapt trends into accessible, cost-effective designs that align with private label strategies
- Develop mood boards, concept presentations, and seasonal direction
- Produce detailed sketches and technical flats using Adobe Illustrator (required)
- Create comprehensive tech packs including materials, trims, measurements, and construction details
- Ensure designs meet cost targets, margin requirements, and production feasibility
- Source fabrics, yarns, trims, and embellishments appropriate for each category
- Develop cohesive color palettes aligned with seasonal direction and retailer needs
- Collaborate with vendors to achieve desired quality and cost efficiencies
- Partner closely with merchandising, sales, and product development teams to align on business objectives
- Incorporate feedback from buyers and sales performance into design revisions
- Participate in line reviews, customer presentations, and fittings
- 3–7 years of experience in fashion accessories design, preferably within private label or mass market
- Strong portfolio demonstrating trend awareness, versatility, and commercial design sensibility
- Expertise across multiple accessories categories (hats, gloves, scarves, etc.)
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (required)
- Strong sketching skills (hand and digital)
- Solid understanding of materials, construction, and cost-driven design
Salary : $100,000 - $125,000
