Med-Surg RN– Travel Contract
Location- Fairfield, Iowa
Schedule: 3×12s per week
Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care on the night shift. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs while adhering to nursing standards and collaborating with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Perform full patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Develop individualized plans of care based on patient needs
- Carry out physician orders, treatments, and nursing interventions
- Provide patient and family education
- Document assessments, medications, and care plans accurately in EPIC
- Prioritize and manage care for multiple patients
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and quality standards
- Support ancillary staff and ensure cohesive team communication
- Participate in emergency response as needed
Requirements
✔ Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
✔ Active Iowa RN License
✔ BLS & ACLS (AHA) — Required
✔ Med-Surg experience preferred (newer RNs considered)
✔ Strong clinical judgment, documentation, and communication skills
✔ Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
