Med Lab Tech

Position Summary:

JT Medstaff is seeking a skilled and reliable Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to perform routine and specialized laboratory tests to support quality patient care. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital or clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, process, and analyze biological specimens (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) according to established protocols.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Perform quality control procedures to ensure accuracy of test results.
• Record, verify, and report test findings accurately in the laboratory information system (LIS).
• Communicate critical results to physicians or nursing staff promptly.
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and laboratory regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient lab operations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent.
• Certification: ASCP or AMT certification preferred (or eligible).
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience preferred
• Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Proficiency with lab equipment and computerized systems
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
