Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) – Hermiston, OR
Shift: Evenings | 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday | Call Optional

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to join our Surgery Services team. The SPT works under the direct supervision of the Sterile Tech Lead and reports to the Surgery Services Nurse Manager. This role is essential in ensuring the cleanliness, sterilization, and readiness of surgical instruments and supplies for patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, clean, and reprocess reusable surgical instruments throughout the hospital.
- Perform cleaning, sterilizing, and preparation of instrument trays, sterile linens, and supplies as directed.
- Distribute reprocessed supplies to appropriate areas and assist in pulling case carts.
- Support inventory control within the surgery department.
- Assist with patient and equipment transport inter- and intra-departmentally, as needed.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization techniques, and inventory management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
