Senior Project Manager
Job Summary:
The Senior Project Manager is a critical member of the Project Management Office (PMO), responsible for leading complex, cross-functional IT initiatives. This role involves driving business analysis, process improvement, and enterprise standardization to ensure measurable business outcomes. The Senior Project Manager will oversee the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and planning through execution and post-implementation review, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver complex IT initiatives on time, within budget, and scope
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure alignment of solutions with business objectives
- Conduct business analysis to document requirements, processes, and opportunities for improvement
- Create and maintain project documentation, including charters, schedules, RACI, risk logs, and communication plans
- Manage project scope, budget, and timeline, mitigating risks and escalating issues as needed
- Collaborate with leadership to optimize resource allocation and resolve schedule or dependency conflicts
- Develop and improve PMO processes, templates, and methodologies
- Communicate project updates to steering committees and stakeholders at multiple organizational levels
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development and implementation teams
- Champion continuous improvement and change management initiatives across the PMO
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, IT, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 8 years of project management and business analysis experience, with emphasis on IT projects and methodologies
- Strong proficiency with project management tools (e.g., OnePlan, Microsoft Project, JIRA)
- Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional projects
- Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies
Special Requirements:
- PMP, PMI-PBA, CBAP, or equivalent certifications preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, with knowledge of MS Project, OnePlan, Power BI, and Visio
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Additional Desired Characteristics:
- Experience in supply chain, logistics, or distribution environments
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI)
- Experience in consulting or client-facing roles
- Familiarity with business architecture and systems integration
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $45.00 - $70.00 per hour
