Logistics Forklift Operator

Sark Wire is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Logistics Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, and unload goods efficiently within the warehouse.

Work hours will vary based on the daily truck schedule. Candidates must be available to work any time between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend overtime as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Load and unload products during shipping and receiving operations.

· Transport and organize materials throughout the warehouse and production departments using a forklift.

· Maintain organization of the empty reel storage area.

· Move trash and recyclable materials to designated outdoor receptacles daily.

· Assist with preparing finished products for shipment.

· Properly secure products and materials within shipment trailers.

· Monitor forklift maintenance schedules and notify the Logistics Manager when service or repairs are needed.

· Replace forklift propane cylinders as necessary while following all company safety procedures.

· Ensure loading docks and warehouse access areas are properly secured at the end of shipping hours.

· Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements while operating equipment.

· Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Non-Essential Responsibilities:

· Assist with general warehouse cleaning, organization, and housekeeping as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience operating forklifts with a capacity of 10,000 lbs or above.
• Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA).
• Strong understanding of safe forklift operation practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• A clean driving record is preferred.
