Scale/Security Employee

2nd Shift – 4 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Sark Wire is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Scale/Security Employee for our 2nd Shift team. This position is responsible for maintaining site security, processing truck traffic through the scale system, and providing excellent customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Monitor and authorize the entry and exit of employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles to ensure the security of company premises.

· Maintain accurate visitor logs and security records.

· Weigh incoming and outgoing trucks using the facility's scale system.

· Process truck arrivals and departures using the SAP system.

· Verify Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other shipping and receiving documentation.

· Coordinate with Logistics and Shipping/Receiving personnel to ensure efficient truck flow.

· Provide professional customer service while enforcing company safety and site-specific policies.

· Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established security procedures.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Previous scale house experience preferred.

· Experience with SAP is preferred.

· Bills of Lading (BOL) and logistics experience preferred.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Intermediate computer skills, including the ability to navigate multiple software applications.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.

· Must be dependable and able to work a 2nd shift schedule.
