Role Description
The Procurement Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Jonesboro, AR. This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for ingredients, packaging, and services, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality-focused purchasing to support production and product development. Day-to-day activities include evaluating and selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing, managing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate procurement records. The role involves collaborating with operations, R&D, quality assurance, and finance to align sourcing decisions with product specifications, regulatory requirements, and budget constraints. The Procurement Manager will monitor market trends, assess supply risks, optimize inventory levels, and drive continuous improvement in procurement policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong procurement and supplier evaluation skills, including experience in sourcing ingredients, packaging, and services in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Candidates should possess expertise in contract negotiation and contract management to secure favorable terms, manage supplier agreements, and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Candidates should possess solid analytical skills to interpret cost, quality, and performance data, support decision-making, and optimize total cost of ownership.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with operations, R&D, quality, and finance teams.
- Relevant experience in food, nutrition, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency with ERP or procurement systems and advanced skills in spreadsheets and data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and support a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
